Our Story

Back in 2018, I was standing on a rocky outcrop just off Harbour Walk, watching the sun dip into the Pacific. That's when it hit me - this spot was too magical to keep to myself.

I'd spent years working in hospitality across the coast, from Vancouver to Tofino, and I kept thinking about what was missing. People wanted luxury, sure, but they also craved something real. They wanted to feel the salt spray on their face, to kayak at dawn, to actually connect with the ocean - not just look at it through a window.

So we built Crysthaven Odyssey differently. The architecture follows the natural curve of the coastline instead of fighting it. Every suite faces the water because honestly, why wouldn't it? We partnered with local adventure guides who know these waters like their own backyard, and our chef sources from fishermen who dock right here in Victoria's harbour.

What started as a 30-room boutique property has grown into something I'm genuinely proud of. We've added private villas for folks who want total seclusion, a wellness sanctuary for those needing to unplug, and yeah, we've even got conference facilities - because sometimes you gotta mix business with pleasure, right?

These days, our team's grown to about 85 people, most of 'em locals who share the same passion for this coastline. They're the ones who'll tell you where to catch the best sunset, which cove has the clearest water, or where to grab fish and chips that'll blow your mind.
